Free speech or Hate speech - a Layman's view

(Hate speech is not free speech: Every time a hate speech is permitted it costs someone a part of his or her self, a part of their self – respect, or part of their sanity. It rips people to shreds and destroys dignity. "Hate speech is anything but Free")

I am not a political expert, I am not a expert speaker, am not a expert writer but I am a citizen of this country, a common man who is pained by the way my country is being exploited for all the wrong reasons by few people with vested interests. When I switch on my TV, when I open the Newspaper, When I hear the Radio, when I log into my Facebook I see the way my country is being demeaned and I get angry. I am surely writing this feeling of a common man.

It is worth reading the comments of big wigs for impressive speech by Kanhaiya Kumar after his release on bail by the Court. I was amazed by the freedom of speech, I am not against it but do they really understand that when they speak there are millions of people reading their thoughts.
As Kanhaiya Kumar himself said we the people have knack of forgetting things too soon, and the comments of responsible people such as AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, Novelist Chetan Bhagat etc. Applauding and appreciating the oratory skills of Students union leader is shocking to say the least.

The person who is being applauded is nothing but a want to be politician and a person charged for sedation and working against the country. The stress here is why is it that people in the name of freedom of speech say anything they want, why don’t they think that Freedom of Speech means responsible speech and think before speaking.

It’s not a case of Kanhaiya Kumar alone; it’s about more such people who are aspired by political ambition who would like to gain mileage by maligning the country by provoking statements.

If we go beyond today we have seen the way freedom of speech was used by Amir Khan and Shahrukh Khan, it has surely rebounded and now we here from Shahrukh Khan that freedom of speech is also Right to be Silent, so far so good hope this sense prevails on everyone.

It is quite understood and well known fact that if a person is arrested and jailed it’s his lottery to gain a political mileage.

Rest said; let’s give a thought to the defense forces who keep on working tirelessly to keep us safe from the enemies from outside. If the army gives up then where are you going to have your freedom of speech?

Let the senses prevail. Hope the people of India wake up from the long slumber and start pulling their socks and disown the enemies within and come strong, come united.

Let’s Speak but Speak Responsibly.

I go to work and my staff look up to me, when I speak I know what to speak and how to speak, I know they will follow my words, I know how to behave with my colleagues even if I don’t like them, but my behavior will surely make sure the company I work does not suffer.
